Jorge Garaje redefines graphic motifs on porcelain decoration. Fausto is coffee set of striking anti-conformism. It reuses tattoo transfers as different motif as used in traditional porcelain. It claims the aesthetical value of this anonymous design, culturally devaluated, rethinking their status outside the context of the human body. The same as the character of the legend, Fausto sold his own soul to maintain a memorable and excessed presence through the terrenal existence that still maintains its memory after die. Formal in the form and informal in content, this experimental project shows us the result of “change the typical flower and bucolic motifs on classic porcelain sets. On the past, low class people like shepherds were the main motif for porcelain decoration. here I use analogue graphics from today to pick up it to a new level on porcelain decoration without compromising its function.
