‘Sometimes the best way to create something is by destroying something’, says american artist Melanie Hoff. She creates her art by sending electrical current into plywood with 15,000 volts of electricity and speeding it up, just to see what it would look like.

Screen Lovers

The project ‘Screen Lovers’ comes from a photo book of iconic movie couples of the same name. The images are all romantic, sexually charged film stills throughout movie history. ‘As I looked through them, I really wanted to see them come together, touch lips, make love, whatever comes next, so I started folding them into one another’, states Eli Craven the artist behind them.

The human towers

‘The human towers’ (‘castells’ in Catalan) are traditionally built in festivities and competitions in the region of Catalonia, Spain. During these events each team (known as ‘colla’) builds and dismantles its own human towers. For their success, a crowded and stunning base of hundreds of people needs to be previously perfectly set up.

Hawthbush

Mole Architects created Hawthbush, an extension of an original Grade II listed 17th century farmhouse which provided additional space and a spacious kitchen diner with lots of glazing providing views out. Attached while visually separated from the existing farmhouse, the extension provides a contemporary reinterpretation of local farmsteads.

IGNANT X HAW-LIN X NO74 Release Recap

Mondo Mondo: Master Thiang

Mater Thiang is a former prizefighter, Muay Thai champion and a trainer of combat sports from Thailand. Years ago, the meanwhile 60 year old came to Germany to fight.
