Blocks

‘Blocks’ is a conceptual photo series by Switzerland-based photographer Fabien Nissels. Perhaps you know the children’s game Mr. Potato Head, then you nearly know what Nissels does with his friend Johan in his studio. They shot four views from each part of his body, printed them and fixed the images on polystyrene blocks.

Eyes as Big as Plates

Karoline Hjorth and Riitta Ikonen created the series ‘Eyes as Big as Plates’ that portraits local senior heroes, sailors, retired agronomes and 90-year old parachuters from Norway. From February 15th until April 26th Ikonen and Hjorth will be working on a new chapter of the series capturing the senior residents of New York, with its myriad nationalities and personalities.

Altered States

Francisco Reina shot the series ‘Altered States’ as a symbol for manipulation and lies. Manipulation is the act of representing something false as real, a negative as positive, a degradation as beneficial. In his series, Reina covers the truth with a blood red veil, seemingly hiding a mysterious secret.
