One hour away from Geneva airport in Switzerland, Whitepod offers a camp of 15 dome shaped pods with luxury bedding, fully-fitted bathrooms and an impressive view on the Alps. Each pod is made of a geodesic structure, anchored on a wooden platform which is naturally isolated from the cold and the snow.

Breeze

Breeze is a project by Japanese ARTechnic Architects, located in a downtown area of Tokyo. The building sits in mute repose while it’s facing a busy road with traffic and pedestrians on two sides. It’s exterior is distinct from the standard architectural lexicon and builds a shelter behind huge curved walls, which seem to sway with the wind.

X2 Kui Buri

When I travelled to Thailand, Hua Hin, a little while ago, I was lucky to get invted by the X2 resort in Kui Buri about 40 minutes in the south. I met the architect Duangrit Bunnag who was there on vacation himself and had about twenty students with him exploring his creation.

La Muna

What’s not to love about ‘La Muna’, a complete renovation and minor addition of one of the first homes built in the exclusive enclave of Red Mountain in Aspen Colorado. Oppenheim Architects used reclaimed regional wood, stone and steel to make a minimal impact on the natural resources and merge the home effortlessly with its idyllic surroundings of forest, stream and mountain.

‘Under the Moonlight’ has been designed by Giovanni D’Ambrosio Architects. It was built within the scenic surroundings, in the Dinner Plain, Victoria overlooking Mount Hotham. The architects used a combination of stone, wood and metal both for interior and exterior.
