Guillaume Jolly Explores Freedom And Loneliness

Words

For his series ‘One By One‘, French art director Guillaume Jolly captures quiet details from places on his travels, exploring both freedom and loneliness in his photographs. Other than portraying a specific place, the soft images depict serene moments from on the road. Jolly currently works as a freelance art director for Hermès. Speaking of the inspiration behind the series, Jolly says: “Instead of showing a crazy world spinning too fast, these photographs show empty places where time stands still. Peaceful and timeless moments taken in many different places looking at one thing after another. These images are all about taking time, about not working your ass off, about seeing other things than your computer, about taking opportunities.”
