Australian artist Joel Rea creates photorealistic paintings of natural landscapes and fantastical scenes with a surreal touch. What’s especially impressive is how he manages to paint waves in a way that seem to bring them alive. Rea, who calls himself a ‘contemporary surrealist painter’, often puts himself into his own paintings.
