Invisible Barn by STPMJ

Words

Most sculptures are meant to be seen but the ‘Invisible Barn’ by STPMJ isn’t recognizable at first glance. STPMJ submitted it for the Folly 2014 competition and even though it didn’t win it’s a remarkable work reflecting the landscape of the surrounding park as the seasons change.

At some angle the viewer would see windows that seem to float in the air. Seen from a different spot, the illusion of a structure appears. Seen from above the Barns reveals itself as a long, flat parallelogram.
