Mirror Fence by Alyson Shotz

Artist Alyson Shotz created these unusual picket fences solely from mirrors, raising questions about the actual need of barriers and how they restrain us in our desire for freedom. The mirror fences have been installed in various locations since 2003, reflecting their surroundings while they’re either subtly camouflaged or transforming the landscape into a mind-bending and twisted installation, depending on where they pop-up.
