Li Hongbo’s Sculptures in Motion

Scroll

We’ve already introduced the fascinating paper works of Chinese artist Li Hongbo. Now we discovered this mesmerizing video, introducing his sculptures in motion.

His flexible structures are using thousands of layers of paper that only become apparent when they’re stretched and pulled. The result is sort of like taking a crazy acid trip right before heading to see the statue of David. Although we find the music a little annoying, it is quite worth seeing Hongbo’s busts in action, don’t you think? Hongbo’s collection ‘Tools of Study’ is currently on display at New York’s Klein Sun Gallery, so if you’re anywhere near you should go check them out.
