Terminus: The Face of Change

Words

Camille Seaman was born in 1969 and graduated in 1992 from the State University of New York at Purchase, where she studied photography. Her latest series ‘Terminus: The Face of Change’ shows images which are the ‘end of the road’ for the glacial face.

For the viewer they are stunning and at the same time uncomfortable and inevitable to look at. ‘Change comes whether we like it or not. Maybe it isn’t always pretty or graceful but it always leads to something new,’ Camille Seaman comments her work. The photographies were taken in Antarctica, Greenland and Svalbard between the years of 2006 and 2010.
