In his series 'Pro und Kontrabass' Austrian artist Aldo Tolino folds sculptural objects from photographs. Every image can be printed, therefore every image can be folded. Consequently, also an already finished folded object can be photographed and turned into a print again, creating a never-ending loop between image and sculptural object. As one can read out Aldo Tolino is also a philosopher and thinks creatively about his works. Currently he is working on a book project 'interferenz', which evolves around the topics paper, folding, image, object, sculpture, texture and recursion. On his website you can take a look at the 'work in progress' of this project.
