Swirling Stools

Words

These so called ‘Swirling Stools’ by south-korean company Metafaux Design are created by using a traditional dying technique known as ‘Marbling’. The ‘tie-dye’ process, which is normally applied to 2D paper or fabrics gives the stools, as 3D objects a unique, blended pattern.

Each product has an individual appearance with imperfections, such as smudges or wrong color combinations left visible – displaying a random sense of beauty. The stools are a direct reflection of the process used to create them, offering a distinct perspective on the beauty of such unexpected outcomes.
