Franck Bohbot's images capture the souls of pools in his homeland's capital. The French born, NewYork based artist focuses mainly on places and people. Interested in the relationship between the water, the architecture and the individual his pictures are not simply architecture photography but look like something from a Wes Anderson or Stanley Kubrick movie set. He likes to work like a cinematographer and a colorist, carefully choosing his images. 'At times I am more influenced by painters and film directors than photographers. I love the idea of unknown as well as famous places becoming monuments through photography. Photography has the power of putting something into a spotlight and making it famous.'
