While Boat magazine gained many readers focusing on a different city each time, Flaneur drills down even deeper, presenting one single street per issue. The very first issue of the new magazine explores Berlin’s famous Kantstrasse through writers, artists, designers and photographers, creating a meaningful correlation between places, stories, people and objects that aren’t necessarily related. While the features are both surprising and compelling, the topics range from a photo-study of one night in a bar to a full musical score which captures the street’s sounds. The editors say: ‘The magazine presents its complexity, dynamic and fragmented nature and layers it with a literary approach. The magazine is aware of its subjectivity. It wants to say: This could be Kantstrasse.’ Get your copy here.
