Murals

Words

David de la Mano and Pablo S. Herrero began developing a mural project in 2007 called Movimiento Señora. At first focusing on few peripheral neighborhoods in Salamanca, Spain their common artistic activity has fed of many impressions connected with the places the two of them started.

‘We try to find a logic in the aesthetics without losing the reason why we use public spaces: provoking ideas, fostering looks and breaking the neutrality.’ With the intention to approach and leave each place in a certain manner of their own poetry the two artists find it necessary to deeply explore the common language of a particular image. With their mixture of trees an human figures, mostly held in black and white, David de la Mano and Pablo S. Herrero address the concepts of isolation, rejection due to certain differences and sustainability of other systems.
