Goodbye Horses

Words

Sandrine Pelletier borrows her creative and production processes from folk arts, arts and crafts, as well as DIY always working and experimenting with the limits of materials. Her artwork ‘Goodbye Horses’ consist of three galloping horses which were created using suspended wool coated in black latex and tar and hanging it from the ceiling.

This installation was shown at Galerie Rosa Turetsky and the chaotic and fragile lines of the figures create an intense contrast to the white walls. The haunting creatures are visually striking and appearing and disappearing subject to the angle. Pelletier was born in 1976 in Lausanne, Switzerland and is currently based in Paris.
