Daniel Gordon

Artist Daniel Gordon creates collages by re-using photographic images from the internet and turning them into three-dimensional tableaus, which he then photographs again and re-uses for his new pieces. Gordon calls his work a 'physical manifestation of the web' melding together fragmented body parts, objects and diverse histories into a new picture in an endless cycle of creation. His interest lies in dualities that frequently coexist in his photographs like masculine and feminine, wholeness and fracture and the imperfection that you find as gobs of glue are left visible or torn edges that left raw. This deconstruction and reassemblage opens possibilities for new characters and relationships.
