For those of us who look to the skies, this photographic project compels our attention. Viktor Gårdsäter is a 28 year old photographer living in Stockholm, Sweden. ‘Balloon man’s last walk’ is one of his latest fashion stories about an elderly man’s last day alive. It all comes down to that striking idea of this man, tethered to a metallic blue balloon, and his nostalgic journey to significant places and sweet memories of life, in a last walk and a farewell to the city. The balloon works as a metaphor for death and in the end takes the old man to the sky, fulfilling its promise of carrying us all away.
