Breeze

Words

Breeze is a project by Japanese ARTechnic Architects, located in a downtown area of Tokyo. The building sits in mute repose while it’s facing a busy road with traffic and pedestrians on two sides. It’s exterior is distinct from the standard architectural lexicon and builds a shelter behind huge curved walls, which seem to sway with the wind.

Once you slip through the entrance of this rock cave you reach an open space that stands in total contrast to what you would have imagined before. The architects state that they tried to create a space like a private beach, enclosed by a soaring rock face. Like that you can find a personal rest and relaxation from the hustle of Tokyo, but still benefit from the convenience of living in the heart of the city.
