French photographer Emmanuelle Brisson created a series of portraits entitled ‘Can’t get it out of my head’. Unlike other portraits she focuses not on the face itself but on a woman wearing pretty questionable headgears. From an octopus suction-cupped to her scalp to Christmas lights tightly wound around her face, fantasies, fears and thoughts seem to be growing out of this womans head, finding expression in various objects. Her obsessions materialize and become visible, thus her mind is set free, fearless and liberated.

Das erste Bild lässt stark an eine Gemäldereihe von Monica Cook erinnern. Möglicherweise waren ihre Gemälde Vorbild dieses Projekts.

Sieht zwar komisch aus, ist aber, denke ich Kunst. Für mich war Kunst immer unverständlich. Ich habe mich nie dort gesehen. Ich überlasse das lieber den Anderen.
