Buff Diss is doing tape art. A rather rare type of art or at least rarely seen as good as Buff Diss does it. He ‘started using tape by accident’ as he says, but he soon found major advantages of this new field. At the time he started nobody really used tape to make art so he was free to develop as he wished. The result is seen in many artworks on his homepage or Flickr. If you wouldn’t know they are made of tape you would think his wall designs are graffiti. Straight lines in different widths are crossing each other, mingling, spreading, building hands, animals, trains, objects, pictures. We visited Buff Diss at ‘Someplace’ to follow the making of his latest artwork, where he is bruning a church from inside.
