Powder

The pictures of still-life photographer Marcel Christ are actually not so very still. Everything moves, jumps, flies, like in a memorable one-frame movie. By experimenting with different materials and techniques he creates new shapes and structures. In the Powder series they are unpredictable and therefore hard to direct. This is exactly what makes this way of working appealing to Marcel. Being surprised by the ingredients you work with. He loves the beauty of the destruction combined with a lot of frozen energy. His study for chemical engineer didn’t all go to waste as he still benefits greatly from his technical and chemical knowledge.

I never said I would, dear ramina. Everything has been done before so if you want to see something you don't know you'll probably have to go and do it yourself. Or just move, go to a museum or read a book or something, you are obviously bored!

Impressive shots. The motion is frozen in the image.

Most of things are photographed today.
But I think that this is the challenge for Picures of those kind.

Do It your own way, create your own style to see things and comunicate it to others.
The shown Picrures are beautyful as they are.
And I really belive that the Artist have fun to take it and maybe to clean up the Studio afterwards.

I really like those experimental Pictures
