Horizons

Words

The sculpture ‘Horizons’ made by artist Neil Dawson seems to be an oversized light sheet of paper, but actually it is made out of welded steel, imposing 15m high and 36m long.

It is located in New Zealand on ‘The Farm’, a large private art park owned by Alan Gibbs, a New Zealand businessman. Sitting on one of the highest points in the property it can be seen from the road, when you’re just driving by with your car. It’s a giant piece of corrugated irons, but it seems so weightless and playful rising up into the sky, opening another horizon after the horizon.
