Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the company Straight Line Designs owned by Judson Beaumont is not only an ordinary furniture design and manufacturing company. Because everything is possible and ideas are limitless in that company they design quirky, bizarre, dreamlike, Alice-in-Wonderland furniture, that will always make you smile. Their plan is to build more inspiring environments for hospitals, airports, day care centers, play areas, and clients’ homes to provide quality workmanship, with a sense of humor and uniqueness. With a lot of imagination and childlike curiosity they create their unusual, odd and cartoon like furniture and in this world you can find cabinets that look like they were burning, twisting, growing, while our favorite one is the ‘Bad Table’ that takes the form a dog peeing on a carpet. @Jean64: Hier geht es, wie du selbst schon sagst, wohl primär um die Optik und das handwerkliche Geschick solche Möbel zu fertigen. Als Kind hätte ich solche Möbel allerdings bestimmt auch gerne benutzt

@caro: gerade in zeiten wo alles mögliche animiert wird, ergibt sich mE der reale wert auch erst mit einer umsetzung des ganzens.

Wo steht denn etwas von Renderings? Die Abbildungen stellen tatächlich gebaute Möbel dar (nach der Umsetzung) und können sogar gekauft werden (siehe Website). Nichts animiert. Sehr sauberes Handwerk.
