Hamburg-based artist Robert Rickhoff invades public space with humor through a series of digitally manipulated photographs in his Bachelor project entitled ‘Out of Place’. Rickhoff presents scenes within a commonplace environment to depict impractical yet lighthearted situations – including a climbing wall to a urinal or a or wheeled walkers on the racing track of a playground. The visualizations are subtle yet provocative, forcing the audience to look twice to notice the unusual setting infused with an ironic humour.
