Watertower

Crepain Binst Architecture built this ununsual contemporary home out of an old water tower in Antwerp, Belgium. Building it, they tried to offer a complete rethink of the water tower as living accommodations for a single person incorporating the existing platforms. With its industrial flair, the big windows and a hole made in the bottom of the water reservoir, making it accessible during parties, it’s now a beautiful piece of architecture. There’s also a whole slew of stairs to make it all the way up to the 6th floor. The exterior is surrounded by a wonderful forest and it’s a reborn for this place, which would have been forget and seen as useless otherwise.
