If you have ever been one of the lucky ones to experience Iceland – its nature is just breathtaking and photographer Andre Ermolaev gives us an even more astonishing view. All the pictures are taken from the open window of a plane from the height of about 80-100 meters above this beautiful scenery. In his Series ‘Ethereal Pattern of the Real River’ you get a feeling for the inexpressible combinations of colors and lines, which form surreal and wonderful patterns. Seeing this, it’s not hard to believe in elves, trolls and magic like most Icelanders do.

Das sind sehr wahrscheinlich die Flüsse aus dem Gletscher des Vatnajökull. Beiläufig, Jökull heißt Gletscher.

@Wolf: Warum gerade der Vatnajökull? Dort vor Skaftafell? Wie kommst du darauf? Sehen für mich wie übliche Gletscherabläufe in den Kiesniederungen bzw. der Strände aus, meinetwegen bei Húsavik oder Sauðárkrókur. Mich würde das schon genauer interessieren; dann müsste man nicht aufwendig und lange suchen.
