Photographer and visual artist John Clang finished the series ‘Beon Sleeps’, in which his friend Beon is lying in public, sleeping. Beon was going through a rough patch in his life and Clang invited him to participate in his project to express himself. Defiantly falling asleep in public spaces, Beon waves a valiant but futile flag for people to slow down their frantic pace of life in Singapore. Beon yearns to be able to catch up with them.

Singapore ist wohl ein perfekter Ort für diese Foto-Kampagne. Sehr schön. Mit einem schmunzeln auf dem Gesicht regt es aber auch ein klein wenig zum Denken an. "Warum tun wir uns alle diesen Stress eigentlich an" ?

Das erinnert mich sehr an meine Aufenthalte in Asien. Neben Singapore habe ich Bangkok, Phnom Penh, und einge Städte in Malysia bereist, und viele ähnliche Eindrücke gesammelt.
