Stately Sandwiches

Kelly Pratt loves Sandwiches, especially when they come with a pickle. She has set out to make a typical sandwich for each of the 50 states as a fun way to work on her photography and design skills. It is a delicious journey across the US. For each sandwich she does research on the Internet, calls local sandwich shops, asks foodies on twitter or checks out a few books to be sure to properly represent a state.

Texas and New York are both spot on -- I've lived in both states, and couldn't agree more.

That being said -- I disagree quite strongly with the Louisiana selection. Even though the Muffeletta originated with the Italians in New Orleans, it is marginal at best, and certainly secondary to the king of ALL sandwiches -- that being almighty Shrimp PoBoy -- which in itself is a thing of sublime and devastating beauty.

Choosing any other sandwich to represent the noble state of Louisiana is a grievous error, and shows poor research and a severely limited insight to the culture its people.

Harsh criticism aside, I do love the photographs.

Oh die sehen ja echt lecker aus ! Kein Vergleich zu Subways in Deutschland. Mag das Essen dort eh nicht. Ich vermisse in Deutschland einen normalen und vorallem gesunden Sandwich Laden.
