In his series ‘Critical Mass/Kritische Masse’ photographer Michael Danner is documenting all 17 nuclear power plants in Germany. With his project he is pointing on a quite sensitive topic as the nuclear phase-out has been a highly discussed topic in Germany for years. The pictures are giving a rare insight into the artificial spaces. They seem so complex and obsolete at the same time, intimidating in size and matter, unnatural and unique out of an almoust foreign perspective. Danner is stepping back from the scene and allows us to observe and interprate what we see. His aim is to facilitate a dialogue between image and recipient that reaches beyond the subject itself and links with the observer’s life-world.

was habt ihr (habt ihr?) denn mit den bildern gemacht? die sehen ja auf der originalen seite komplett anders aus... da werden aus orangenen mänteln schell mal gelbe... muss das so?

Wir haben die Bilder so von Michael Danner bekommen aber du hast recht die Mäntel sehen auf seiner Seite etwas orangener aus. Ansonsten kann ich allerdings nicht wirklich Abweichungen erkennen. Auf Danners Seite gibt es alle Bilder der Serie zu sehen.

sehr stark . aber auf seiner Seite ergeht er sich dann doch noch in zu viel geknipse . schade . euer excerpt ist eigentlich perfekt .

es liegt wohl daran das die bilder auf seiner website ohne farbprofil sind und die bilder hier auf Ignant ins sRGB profil umgewandelt wurden. der rest ist dann eine kombination aus webbrowser und monitor die die farben so aussehen lassen wie du sie siehst. nicht alle browser können mit fabmanagement umgehen. chrome zb kann das nicht, oder nocht nicht ;)
...find die bilder einfach nur unglaublich stark!!!

Hey there just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren't loading correctly. I'm not sure why
but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation
but I find this matter to be really something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I'll try to get the hang of it!
