The Hill House is located in Melbourne, Australia. When building this unique form, Maynard Architects were challenged by small sites and limited sunlight that required a creative concept. They decided to craft an artificial hill to both separate and engage a backyard space, while lofting a living volume above it. The result is a contiguous wrapping surface that can be occupied in all kinds of ways, engaging the sun above via the tilted interior box but also providing a mix of light and shade for the outside zones. The remarkable effect is one of openness despite suburban enclosure – a sense of playful, natural and rural elements revisited in controlled modern forms.

Sieht für mich aber nicht wirklich harmonisch aus. Im unteren Bereich würd ich mich wie im Keller fühlen und oben wahrscheinlich wie in einer Blechbüchse. Ich finde ja die Hügelhäuser wie sie z.T. in Deutschland gebaut werden, also mit großen Fenstern nach Süden hin sehr schön. Da hat man viel Licht im Haus.

dito. reduziertes design schön und gut, aber es muss ja nicht alles aussehen wie eine übergadgetierte Mikrowelle.

rasen mähen würd ich da aber auch eher nem profi überlassen
