Fuse-atelier

Das Haus der Architekten fuse-atelier in Abiko City, Japan gleicht mehr eine modernen Skulptur als einem Wohnort. Die Eigentümer wünschten sich ein galerieartiges Gebäude, in dem sie ihrer Leidenschaft für Designermöbel Ausdruck verleihen können. Da das Haus auf weichem Grund steht, mussten Stützeinsätze eingebaut werden. Um die Anzahl der Einsätze möglichst gering zu halten und so Kosten zu sparen, wurde die Kontaktfläche zum Boden minimiert und dafür der obere Teil des Gebäudes ausladender gestaltet. Die Wände und das Dach sind so stufenlos geneigt und dehnen den Raum nach oben hin.

Im Innenraum wurde hauptsächlich Beton zur Ausgestaltung der Räume verwendet. Durch die Zusammensetzung, beziehungsweise Trennung der Räume in verschiedenen geometrischen Formen ergibt sich ein interessantes Zusammenwirken von räumlicher Nähe und Distanz sowie einem Spiel aus Licht und Schatten.

It is not to the concrete image of the person, it is rather a visualization of its memories and desires – the result is always an individual carpet, made for one specific person.

Alias

The sculpture ‘Alias’ seems like a strange indefinable creature. It was created for the Orangery Palace Rheda by Miriam Jonas. In forty seconds rhythm the structure made of transparent PVC is filled with air from a blower. Once the fan is turned off, air escapes from the Sculpture and almost breathing, it seems as if it is has come to life.

House in Nagahama
