Christian Rösner

Bei Christian Rösners Skulpturen aus der Reihe ‘Jagen und Sammeln’ treffen wir auf verdrehte Welten, in denen Mensch und Tier oft fließend eine Symbiose eingehen und des Öfteren die Rollen tauschen. Mal wird aus dem Jäger der Gejagte, mal aus dem Schwächeren der Stärkere. Der kleine Mann stemmt die schwere Seekuh, das Krokodil hebt erfreut ein Kind in die Höhe und der Hirsch säugt zwei kleine Kinder, wie es der Sage nach einst die Wölfin mit Romulus und Remus tat.

Rösner zitiert häufig die kunsthistorische Ikonografie und bekannte Mythen, wandelt sie aber so ab, dass sie überraschend, erheiternd, aber auch ironisch wirken und mit schwarzem Humor kokettieren. Seine Phantasie, in Verbindung mit besonderem Talent im Umgang mit Holzskulpturen und Bronzegüssen und einem präzisen Auge für Mensch und Tier, schafft eine sehr erfreuliche Reihe von Arbeiten.
