In seiner raumfüllenden Miniaturinstallation „The Tenth Sentiment“ wirft der japanische Künstler Ryota Kuwakubo mit einer Lichtquelle, in Form einer fahrenden Modelleisenbahn, eine wortwörtliche Schattenstadt als Überwelt an die weißen Ausstellungswände.
Langsam gleitet der Lichtschein an und durch die Objekte, bringt sie abwechselnd zum Wachsen wie Schrumpfen: Aus Zirkeln werden Strommasten, Papierkörbe erinnern an Kühltürme, Buntstifte erscheinen als abstrakter Stelenwald. Fasziniert taucht man ein in die schwarzen Gebilde – bis im „Fast Repeat“ der Startpunkt die turbulente Fahrt sich wieder einzuverleiben scheint. Mit einem letzten Blickt auf die vielen kleinen Haushaltsgegenstände und Kinderspielzeuge, die uns aus dem Alltag so vertraut sind, erinnern wir ihr künftiges Geheimnis und deren düster-beeindruckendes Potenzial.

These pictures are amazing, the dark shades making a good impression.
the small lighting objects under dark background looks like a beam of lightning hope in hard situations.

I really admire the uses photographers are putting to the light/dark contrast. This project is a good example. At times, the shadows laid by a soft light look eerie and scary, like in the first two pictures, and at other times, the light portrays the good in every bad, and the hope in all desperate situations like in the 6th and 8th pictures.
