Alejandra Laviada kommt ursprünglich aus Mexiko City und studierte Malerei an der Rhode Island School of Design. Ihren Master machte sie in Fotografie an der School of Visual Arts. Für die Serie “Photo Sculptures” erhielt sie den renomierten Photo Espana Descubrimientos Award:
In Photo Sculptures, Alejandra portrays ephemeral sculptures created with found objects in order to alter our conception of everyday objects, record spaces that are disappearing, and suggest stories of the people who inhabited these spaces.
