Please describe your blog in one sentence:
Art is hard.

Why are you blogging?
I started this site as a means to expose some of the seriously talented people out there that won’t get picked up by a big magazine or client because they’re too young or too weird or from an underexposed city/country. I’ve been obsessed with art + music + even advertising since I was a little, little kid but I was never great at drawing or playing music, so I didn’t study art in school or start pursuing it as a profession until a few years ago when I started working at a record label. I guess it never occurred to me to be professionally involved + not be the one making the art. That’s my cliche answer – I love art + I want to be a part of it, in every capacity possible.

How is your daily routine?
I wake up around 7:30 to send my fiance off to her job as an ad exec, eat some fruit + drink some coffee. Spend about 2 or 3 hours going through my reader, reading the local paper + responding to emails. The next 5 or 6 hours are a flurry of brainstorming, research, loud music + drafting posts. Sprinkle a little design work in there + that’s my 9-5. After five, I’m taking pictures, eating at one of the 260 restaurants in my little city, at the bar or buying records at my favorite record shop.

Your future plans?
Get married in the fall, grow the blog to a level that allows me to continue meeting great people + working with artists that are infinitely more talented than I am while actually supporting myself. In a few years, i’d like to open my own little shop. That could mean a lot of different shit. We’ll see what happens.
